hi guys -
so i finally got my svs 2.1 system! the ultimate praise comes from my wife, "wow, it sounds like we're in a movie theatre!" (and we were only watching shrek 3 - by the way, not my pick =) ) i was so happy to hear her say such good things about the system. i was quite fearful of her reaction to the size of the subwoofer, but she kinda got over it when she described the two bookshelf speakers as "cute" to go perfectly w/ the tv console.
my reaction - i love it!!!!!! i cannot thank you guys enough for your suggestions and help with everything. it took me about one hour to cut and attach all the wires, and then set up all the cables to avoid the clutter it can cause. but it was well worth it...
it was even funny, after the movie, my wife looks over at me and says, "you what would be good, a surround system." my jaw literally dropped! she still hasn't increased my budget though, so i'm gonna have to wait for a while until i add the rears and center. i think i'll be okay until then with what i have now =) oh yeah, i'm glad you guys talked me into the svs sub. it's sound is impeccable. even my wife was highly impressed, which is almost never the case when it comes to electronics w/ her...
once again, thank you guys soooooo much! also, for any newbie (like me) that is looking at an htib, listen to these guys - they know what they're talking about. and if you want any suggestions for a 2.1 on a $650-700 budget, check out svs!
