I want to get the new XPA-5 to power my av123 750's & bigfoot & I'll even run the rs300s off it too.

Probably overkill but it's like there's an uncontrolable urge to do it. I want more power. I'll just use the yammy rx v659 as pre-amp.

I would probably be just as happy with an LPA1 but those 200 watts are just screaming at me to buy it!

I understand that, but it's a bottom of the barrel Yamaha receiver.;) The RX-V1800 will be far above it in performance.:)

Check the current Sound & Vision magazine. I think that 1800 is listed as 1 of the best 21 products of the year or something. I wouldn't be so vague if the lady ahead of me had more groceries to buy and the lady behind me wasn't in such a hurry. :D

What?:)

You were writing this in a grocery store?:D
You're kidding, right? Just in case you're not, I was reading the magazine in the grocery store. It's not that I'm too cheap to buy the magazine. It's against my principles.
