They've got a store about 3 miles from my house. Very nice stuff. I got an ad in the mail today about this deal, and they happened to have it online as well. The bonus for you guys is that I have to pay sales tax b/c I live in Ohio. Most of their theater seating is 30% off as well. Check it out.

Hey, Buckeye; Have you compared these to the Berkline seats? Just wondering how they stack up...build quality, leather quality, comfort, etc.
Thanks.

Duke,

They're all nice. You can pay up to $700 for each seat on a Berkline, so I guess it depends on which model. The set here for $999 is very nice - great support and not that "vinyl" leather feel you get sometimes on cheaper leather furniture. This stuff looks like it will take a lot of high use/abuse, and it looks like proper HT furniture. I don't like those big bulky chairs that look like someone put a bunch of leather recliners together. These are more space saving, while having enough seat room for a big guy like me (6' 235). Are you in the market?

Wow this looks like one great deal :) I would say too great of a deal, except you've actually checked them out.

I was eyeing the Coaster Cyrus seats for $400 shipped each, but this is another $200 cheaper than that. 103" will cut it pretty close in my room, will have to measure again tonight and see if it would work.

Thanks for the post

Edit: I called and they said they have lots of these in stock, so the "week special" will probably be running for a while. Anybody know if bass shakers will mount to these without much hassle?

I paid $999 a piece for my electric recline Berklines a few years ago.

I ordered a set of these Mirage, let's see if they actually ship within 48 hours :)

Turns out 103" will fit just perfect.

Hey Buckeyefan 1,

The one thing that Im wondering about is the stated 32 degree toe-in as drawn up in the "diagram". Doesn't that seem like a lot? I called them, and the lady thinks that this angle should very slight. Perhaps its really 16 degrees toe-in for each side, and perhaps 16 degrees is not all that much??

I think Id prefer zero angle, but this deal looks so good. Even ebay and craigslist are pricier for items that don't even look as good.

Thanks again.

LOL, thank you. hahah. I need a bigger computer monitor, even if that might not help a small brain.

The sharp angle of the diagram just had me worried. The pic looks pretty flat. Going to have to remeasure later to be doubly sure, but I can't wait to order.

:)

You guys should see the Cameo Pool Table they have advertised for $999 (it's not listed online, only in the ad I have). It looks like the Kasson table I bought 10 years ago for $1700, only nicer.

Here's the local ad:

As far as the angle goes, it's not much. I just wish I could go back in time and return my 3pc leather set from Lazarus that we paid almost $2000 for and get a few sets of these. I'd be building a riser tonight.

Yeah, Buck, I'm sort of in the market. I would really like to move in the next year or so and if I do, I will have a dedicated theatre instead of the den/theatre I do now. I could go ahead and get the seats, but not sure black would go with my blue carpet and earthtone brown furniture:p Eh, black goes with everything.;)
I saw a deal at Costco the other week on a three seat set from Berkline for about the same price. The local store was out so I didn't get to see it. It was a coupon deal and has now passed, so not sure I could still get it. The Berks had the power recline, too. I tried to find it on Berkline's site, but could not find the number they gave me at Costco. It may be an exclusive set for them.

My seats from boston tables arrived 30 min ago. Had to run home quickly from work so no unboxing yet except to verify the color was right.

The boxes say Manchester Seating, I guess Coaster Co is redistributing their stuff.

Pics! http://picasaweb.google.com/jgillow/Coasters?authkey=93em5HPpwHY

A teaser:

I've only sat in them for a couple minutes, but so far I'm liking them. Head support is good for my height (5'11") and the cushions have an appropriate amount of softness for what I like. Not so plush that you just want to nap right away, but not overstuffed-firm type either.

Disposing of the boxes/bubble wrap was more difficult than putting the seats together. And that includes the bass shakers, which mounted easily to a cross bar. Only 2 screws vs. the full 4 but I believe it will be fine.
