Hahahaha, victroy! I guess this needs to be legit.

So, say you had $600 or so dollars canadian to throw around (psh, you wish) what would you buy?

My main question is this.

1.) Go for features. Get 7.1 HD audio, but weak amps and nothing else really

2.) Go for amps and current features but still be non-future proof.

If I had $600 kicking around, I would just buy CD's, SACD's and DVD's (inc. DVD-A and Blu-Ray).

If I had $600, I'd by another HD player (A35! :D) and about 30 more HD movies! HD rocks!!

if you have bookshelf speakers, I'd go for the 1) features - I'm assuming this is a new receiver, correct?

Whoops, forgot about this thread.

Yeah, I would be using it in my current system, and it would never see towers (or speakers with bass capabilities).

Basically, the RX-V*63 series from Yamaha seems to be the winner. Would you go for the 663 or the 863? I don't care about power, or any funky video features, as I'd never do any up conversion or stuff like that. I guess I just answered my own question.

Now, what first: Coilovers or Receiver?
