I know my BD10A has absolutely no problem with the LFE. The BD10A also has 7.1 Analog output and Internal decoders for TrueHD & DTS-HR, but not DTS-MA.

Whats the difference from the 30? The 30 can bitstream true hd and dts master audio also... and what does all this profile talk? 1.0 2.0???

The LFE is 5 db down when using PCM over HDMI. See the below link.

Ah, I see. So HDMI got screwed, huh? It's a good thing for me I don't use HDMI audio. I use only the analog outputs.

Is there a final MSRP that we know of or is $499/599 the best guess?

I don't want to nab a Blu-ray player until it has all the decoding features as well as being Profile 2.0 compliant for under $299.

It's still just an educated guess. The DMP-BD30 is $500, so the BD50 is "around" $600. It will not be under $299, but it is claimed to be Profile 2.0 and has internal decoders for TrueHD & DTS-MA.

I have not heard of it. The only ones they have can send Bitstream of TrueHD & DTS-MA, but not internally decode them. I am kind of disappointed in Samsung overall. Most of the Samsungs either have compatibility issues, no Analog output, very mediocre bass management and speaker set up, etc.
But we will see. Even if they came out with a $300 BD player that can internally decode everything, I would still be reluctant to buy it.
