Okay, despite the fact they are from my home town, this raises questions:

From the Forest speakers description:

* Aerodynamic rounded front baffle
Flush-mounted drivers
Angled rear baffle
* Irreproachable bi-wireable W.B.T. terminals
The industry standard
* “Claws” standard revolutionary floor interface supports
Control cabinet resonance
Gently and musically decouple speakers
* Lock-mitred “monocoque chassis”
Unique in the industry
Expensive to produce
* Extensive cross-bracing and radical angle internal floor
* Borosilicate damping
* Innovative porting allows for incredible extension and overall coherence
* Specially modified proprietary drivers
The use of these superlatives just makes me want to run away!

Specially modified proprietary? Why does it need to be modified if they're designed and built just for you ?!?!?

Anyway. Sorry for ranting...

Totem does that for all of their descriptions. Don't let that influence your decision. They make exceptional speakers for the money.

I was going to say the same...that they certainly use some flowery speak when describing their products...and i've ALWAYS been a skeptic of their beaks :rolleyes: ....but they do offer a solid product, and they're not outrageously priced. On the more expensive side for sure, but not absurdly expensive.

Totem makes some phenomenal sounding speakers despite an over enthusiatic marketing department waxing on these ridiculous superlatives. I have heard the Mani and they are an increadable speaker. I've read reviws on the forest and everyone who reviewed them were astounded by them.
Don't let the marketing BS scare you away.
