I got a negative rep for this post :(
Sorry to hear that. :(

How do you get a negative rep?

Yesterday we broke -50C (-39C without wind) with the wind chill. Today we are -46C with the wind.

It is just nasty outside

Cheers

If you have a Sherwin Williams store near you, they have brochures that have 3 or 4 differing colors that cosmetically match. You pick a color family (blues or reds etc) and the brochures show other color suggestions that go with it appealingly. Interestingly, they have a great red called "Theater red" !!

Thanks for the tip, and that is actually exactly what I did, except at General Paint.

Found a brochure that I generally liked the pallette and took it home and started looking. Ended up with a dark grey (slightly greenish) called Armour and a matching lighter grey called Excalibur. The colors are a lot warmer than you first think of when you think grey.

Got 2 coats on the HT space and one coat on the rest (will be finishing the painting this week). Looks great and has re-energized me to get the rest of it done (electrical, insullation, drop ceiling, finish carpentry.....) :D

And even better than all that, the wife likes it too and even said yesterday, "I am looking forward to watching a movie down here when it is done!" :D:D:D

Cheers and thanks again

You click on the scales in the top right corner right beside the post #. That allows you to add to a members reputation based on that post. It can be positive or negative.

I bet Edmonton is colder and they ain't gonna get a Chinook.

I think that we all, Alberta in general, topped, or bottomed, out at around the same for those couple of days. We did warm up, to -20C by the end of last week and are expecting a Chinook starting tomorrow to bring us up to 0C.

Nope, no chinook for Edmonton, but at least it is consistent up there, cold. We are supposed to go from -23C today to 0C then back down to -20C and snow for Friday. On Friday it will be black ice central around here and with snow to boot. Wonder if we will break our record of 396 reported accidents in one day

I knew about the scales in the upper corner, but did not know you could give negative rep. Kind of a silly thing for someone to give negative rep for. I personally like the colors in the link.

Cheers

Why the heck would you get a negative rep for that? I just pasted some positive onto ya...
Agreed!! and the pasting of positive rep continues. :)

LOL!

It certainly wasn't a big deal but thanks ;)
Maybe not a big deal, but a bit low just the same. A person's taste in paint scheme is far from reason for negative rep.

Cheers
