At this point, I have pretty well decided not to upgrade my 2.0 music system until I have saved up at least $3000, at which point I will completely replace it.
The idea of a one brand system appeals to me. Speakers, of course, are the top priority. What companies that make good speakers also make a CD player and an integrated amp (or an affordable preamp/power amp?) I know about Rega. AudioNote is another, but they are hard to find, and I don't know about tubes. Naim is out of my league, pricewise.
(Oh, and CDP + powered speakers is another option.)

What's the appeal of owning a one brand system. You severely limit your options and likely your overall fidelity by attempting to do this. You are more critical than a wife (or is WAF playing a part in this? If she is, you are completely whooped if you are pretending it's what you want.;))

there are a few, but 3000 for a complete might be tough without sacrifice, pioneer ex line of speakers are real nice, just hard to find to demo

Quad
B & W, if you count Rotel as they own Rotel,
Meridian.

Those are the ones from the top of my head there are probably others.

NO POINT! I can't stress this enough. There is no point in doing this unless there is a certain picky wife or girlfriend. And if it's that, it's not hard to explain why it's not cost effective or even good to do crazy stuff like this.:D

Bang & Olufsen?

How about Musical Fidelity/Era http://www.signalpathint.com/

Emotiva is very nearly in the one-stop-shopping category. I've heard the speakers and subs. They are very good.

These days it for the most part makes much more sense to piece your system together with the strongest components one can find, no one company has a monopoly in all areas thus all have a strong point and a weak point................so it makes no sense to go in this direction. The couple of exceptions perhaps would be Meridian and Mcintosh but and a zero to your budget to even think about that direction.

I agree completely. But I would love to own Revel Speakers & Subs + Mark Levinson Amps & Preamps (both are Harman brands).:D

Personally, I think you'd have better luck with a 2 brand system. One brand for the speakers, the other for the electronics. Just becuase a speaker has Rega stamped on it doesn't make it a good speaker. Maybe, you won't care for the "British" sound. I'd revisit your approach on this.

A NAD + PSB system, since PSB is owned by the same company as NAD iirc.

I'm not sure why you want to do this though.

Notice how he started the thread, then proceeded not to respond to it. There has been no positive or negative response. Curious, isn't it?;)

I started the thread on Friday and got no responses. They all came over the weekend (I am only on the internet while "working".:D)
The consensus is that it is a bad idea. My original thought was maximum compatability and cool looks (with the same logo on everything.) I guess the two-brand idea is better (I hate electronics that don't match visually.)

NAD and PSB may be owned by a parent company but they are for all intense purposes, two totally different companies.

Well you can get gear that compliments the other. Getting a matching CD player and integrated amplifier should be no problem. Then all you have to do is get speakers that have similar style and a matching or complimentary finish that meet the amplifier in specifications.:)

I think the Teac looks great with the Bostons.:)

Yes, but since someone else mentioned B & W and Rotel, it fit.

I think my Onkyo looks great with the Mirages, too.:) It is also as excellent-sounding a system as I am likely to hear for a good bit more than $900 MSRP, much less the $500 that I actually paid. This is why I think I shouldn't consider an upgrade until I can afford to pay a lot more. $3000 is a bit arbitrary, but based on some really nice systems I have seen (Rotel + B&W's top 600 series towers being one.)

I think you should get an all Kenwood system, wouldn't that be nice?:D
