You know what you could do Jordan? Post some pics of your gear, so that you can show the rest of the forum that you're not full of it.
Just being totally honest with you here - if you show us some pictures of your equipment, I will be the first person to call off the dogs and offer a very sincere apology to you in front of the entire AH forum, for my part in jumping the gun.
Everyone here who has been a member for long enough truly likes to help a newcomer out as much as possible. You have been given literally
tons of advice, dozens of suggestions and have either a.) ignored half of them, or b.) repeated the same questions multiple times in multiple threads.
Everyone here was a newcomer at some point, I don't care
how experienced and knowledgeable they are now. Hell, I still have a lot to learn myself. My point is, you weren't singled out because of your inexperience or your lack of knowledge - it became blatantly obvious after the 7th repetitive thread that something here just didn't smell right.
As you will recall - in addition to suggesting a better sub (which I do recall now, thank you), I also offered very thorough advice on a number of topics, all in the best interest of providing either supplemental information that others were busy sharing with you, or offering my own insight to your questions.
That is what you get when you come to AH - you get very knowledgeable, friendly people who will actually take the time to sit down and write a
real answer to a technical question, and which is why I joined in the first place. There are people here who truly care about the overall A/V experience and wish to share their knowledge and insight with anyone who asks.
What I don't like to see (and I'm sure others will agree) is someone try to take advantage of that and lead the parade on a never-ending ride to nowhere, or abuse the generosity that so many AH members have regarding the sharing of their said knowledge. No one here has given you bad advice in the 21 some odd threads you authored over the course of a few days. Yet, for some reason you pop in yesterday asking the same question all over again, regarding crossover setting and phase. Should I take your hand and lead you back to the other two or three threads that covered that? No, I didn't think so.
For what it's worth, this is still only my two cents worth. I'm not a mod, I'm not admin - just an ordinary regular old AH addict like the rest of us.
But for god's sake man - show us that something that lets us know you're not just yanking our chain.
You can always PM me too if you like - since this is kind of getting a little over-blown, feel free to discuss in private. I'm totally okay with that.
