Tonight I was headed towards the bar to break up girls night out and right next door, I couldn't help but peek my head in the window, Yamaha Dealer.....
Had a hard time walking away from this bike..

Current bike, Yamaha FJR1300 145HP - 0 to 60 2.8 seconds http://210.168.217.181/lineup/06_fjr1300as/06_fjr1300a_dpbml_s.jpg

Can't wait to get my *** back on my bike once again... I miss it so much...
This summer I got a chance to get my bike out on Road America for Track day. Buell was previewing their new bike Buell 1125r (they rented the whole track) and I had a day to play with it and my bike on the track... Exhausting... I put 150 miles on the track that day between the two bikes.... top speed 150mph... Made me think long and hard about getting a track bike like the R1(first pic) At any rate here are a few pics of me on the track on my bike and the buell... :)

OK rant over... just miss my bike while its snowing here... :(

Hehehhe How big are you ?

My buddy and I rented some FLHX's when I came down to Miami, and took a trip down to the Keys, that was a great time... never had so much fun....

Long hauls are great with Harley's... gotta get me one of those too...

Do you ride Steven...? That would make for a great GTG as well..

Hey Warp, I'd skip the motorcycle jaunt. Mazer's been acting a little strange lately, something to do with green little creatures.

Yeah I'm bummed that my baby is under a cover on the back porch for the time being. I can't wait for it to warm up a little bit.

Aint that the truth.... I got on my rental bike in Miami just long enough to get the hell out of there, and on towards the Keys... great trip....

I couldn't imagine riding all the time in Miami... suicide !!

I had enough trouble walking across the street there.. Whoa...

I've got a friend in Jackson Memorial since before Christmas, he was riding in a pack of thirty bikes, some dumb idiot was yapping on her phone, blew the stop and t-boned my buddy, luckily he's going to fine after major surgeries, his wife escaped with some minor road rash and bruises.

I sympathize with ya buddy about the back thing... I tossed my back out on a 50 ft jump with my Yamaha Raptor ATV... came down a little hard...:eek::(

Since then I have never been in better shape in my life...

I have to stretch and workout to keep from having pinched nerves in my legs, so it has kinda been a motivator a bit.

Keep workin out buddy... you'll be far better off if your in shape !!

And the women in your life will remind you how much its worth it.. :)

LOL suckers! Been riding at least once a week here.:p Bike is currently in the shop though with an oil leak, luckily it's still under warranty. I do try to get home before the sun starts to set as the temp starts to drop really quick.

In Ohio its awful cold 5 months a year and it sucks to ride a bike, in the snow its way too hard to pedal :)

The weather hasn't been that good lately in "sunny" SoCal, so I haven't been doing any riding lately. Next week looks good according the forecast. I'm dying to go riding again. I'll sign up for the Reg Pridmore's Class again in April. I've been going every year since 2003 (I missed it last year though). My current ride is a '03 Yamaha FZ1, but I also have a CBR954RR, which needs a new engine. I'll probably get rid of the Honda and get a new CBR1000RR.

Now thats the kind of bike I'm talking about.

What kind do you ride? I'm all about the trials!

I need to buy a frame that is closer to this bikes size.

That depends on how much of a diehard you are Warpdrv. ;) My primary mode of transportation during one college winter was a beemer, right in your hometown (UWM). It takes some nerve, and perhaps a bit of need and desperation to bike an entire Wisconsin winter. :) Would I do it again? Only if the need, nerve and desperation drove me there. :p The '72 bonneville and R1100 aren't coming out this year til all the snow is gone. :)

That is an excellent program. Advanced class? Do you just do it for fun? Or are you into any regional super-bike races?

Down here I've been on Daytona, Moroso Motorsports Park in West Palm Beach, and Homestead-Miami Speedway in Homestead.

Memoirs of a Speed Freak

Congrat's on owning a FJ. I bought a 1200 new back in 1988 up in Toronto. They were only available in the European and Canadian markets that year. My longest trip on the FJ was out to Calgary one fall. The next spring I got on it and rode out to Vancouver Island and then back to T.O.. 20 years ago and the memories still live on. Although I never wiped out, all my friends had. Every time I got on it I ended up doing over 100 mph. If I wanted to ride fast I use to open it up on Hwy #401. The speedo said 150 mph. I knew that if I didn't get rid of it, I would die on it so I sold it.

It's good to hear that you go to a track for your high speed excursions. A few years ago I became aware of the 1300's and started wondering if time could have possibly mellowed me out in the risk taking department. Probably not seeing as how my heart wants to jump out of my chest when I see a bike speed past me on the Hwy at umpteen mph. I really miss riding. :(

But I like living a lot. :) :D For all those who ride, I wish you the best. :)
