Do any of you guys know where I can find some free downloadable test tones (say from about 10 hz to 150 hz)? I have looked online but can't seem to locate any free ones. I have a test disk I made a couple of years ago, but it stops at 25 hz and I need to go deeper.

Those realtrap tones are pretty tough on subs, especially from 30hz down. IIRC each 10hz sweep is 2 min or about 12 seconds at each hz. Don't play them at volume. If you've got a laptop download the NCH tone generator (do a search) you can configure it for any duration in 1 hz increments.

Don't worry. I figured it out.:) I discovered it briefly how "loud" they are. The Ultra handled it like a champ. I used the pink noise first and set my volume such that my SPL meter read 70 dB at the listening position. It worked just fine. I found out that I have a huge hump at around 30 Hz (room response). I figured out how to use the Q adjustment on the Ultra and have tamed it nicely I think. I've spent the better part of this afternoon tweeking things.

I will look at the NCH tone generator too.

Thanks guys!
