Because if you are unsure of the Klipsch I say go out there to different stores and hear other brands. Who knows, you might find a speaker you like even more than the Klipsch.

Got the manufacturer's websites of these brands and see if there is a dealer near you.

i know 300 is not much for an audiophile speaker setup, which is why i said 300 should be easy to fulfill considering i don't need something like that. Im not a really critical listener, i won't be listening to any classical music, i just want something to be very full and not boring to listen to.

I'm more looking towards bookshelves, mainly because of space and price. Most nice towers seem to be very expensive, so i would think a nice set of bookshelves would be best as of now. And when i mean later for a sub, i meant that it won't be for quite awhile actually. I would say a year or two...so i really need something that is going to fulfill the no-sub experience for awhile. Thanks for the quick responses though!

Ahh excellent price though. Good speakers with clear midrange. I don't think the OP wanted towers though as he has no room to fit them. The RTi are pretty big.

With regard to the Hsu sub, I would go with the VTF series rather than the STF series. The VTF series gives you a tighter sound than the STF series.

And oh, to the original poster, if there is a Fry's near where you live, go and see if they still have any Polk LSi15 floorstanders left. Last I heard, Fry's was selling them for $199 a piece. So for $400 you can get a pair. Remember, the retail price on the LSi15's are about $1500 a pair.

sorry about the audiophile thing?? i guess i really just didn't know any other way to explain that i don't need something that will produce the classical music the best possible.

Those polk towers seem to get awesome reviews...along with the acousttech ht75's, which from what i have read, are pretty much klipsch knockoffs yet much more affordable. I'm really considering holding out and picking up some towers now instead. Anything else guys??

If you want those Polks, you'd better hurry. Because almost all Fry's are just about sold out of them. You'd be extremely lucky to find a pair in stock.

well since i'm not really interested in classical music, not exactly considering the totem's...and since the polks are becoming very hard to find (no fry's around here) not really considering those either...

I have been looking heavily into the Bic Acoustec's though...they seem to get awesome reviews, ever around here. I'm really trying to find some of the HT-88's for around my price range, as i think i could find some room for towers if i really wanted to and it seems like it would be worth it. May have found some left over Klipsch RB-35's also for a good price. Who knows, i hate shopping...
