Audioholics,

After many hours of hard work my wife and I have finally completed our basement project. It included framing, drywalling, mudding/taping, painting, tiling, cabinetry, countertops, electrical and all audio/video setup. We did everything ourselves with the exception of carpet. We started the project back in late September 2007 and are very happy to be able to kick back and enjoy our hard work. We still have a few minor details left including covering that hidious electrical panel.

Special thanks to..

I like the 2-tone paint, and the his and hers computers. Does your wife have to e-mail you to get your attention, even when she's sitting right next to you? :D

Now days' the preffered method of E-communication is instant messaging. :D and yes if i had his and hers computers i probably would be IM my future wife whos right there. :D

Very nice setup - seeing rooms like that really digs into me to build my own dedicated HT. Right now I have the space for it (converted garage), but we'll probably sell off the house within a year or two (hopefully), so I have to look at doing it on the next one.

Every one of these I see though, gives me ideas. I really like the little computer area and the bar! :D

You did a wonderful job making your space look clean and comfortable. The color selection really suits the space and having a computer area really makes the space more useable for both of you.

I know how much work it is to build a room like this and can appreciate all the hours of hard work, planning, and design. It will all be worth it as time passes and you can sit back and relax with your family and friends.

I hope both of you enjoy the space for years to come!!!!

You're correct!

His = 22" Widescreen
Hers = 19" Standard screen

Now that the basement is complete i'd really enjoy to kick back relax and have a few drinks but.....

The deal was once I have the theatre/computer area done i'd update the kitchen. Yikes when will it ever end.

Thanks alot for all the kind words.

Very nice job Captain!
Do you and your wife hire yourselves out?:D
My basement could use it.

You mentioned covering your electrical panel.
You could try an acoustic panel over it?

Great job, enjoy it!
After you finish the kitchen.
