Hi,

Wow! It just keep looking nicer and nicer. I can't wait to see the next round of pictures.

Excellent set-up. Would you remind me which speakers you have? They look really nice.
The mains are Monitor Audio Gold Series 60's, the center is a MA GS-LCR, the surrounds are MA RS-FX, the sub is the SVS PB12-Plus/2, the projector is the JVC RS1, the AVR is the Marantz 8001, and the DVD player is the Marantz 6001.

I will try to get some close up shots of the speakers soon.

Hi,
Here are some close up's of the speakers;

I hope to have the drawer fronts put on next week.

We did run into a problem with the DVD player, after about 30 min it stopped sending out a signal over the HDMI cable. It worked fine playing a SACD, but not a DVD. Replaced the player with another HDMI player (different model) and the problem did not reappear. So the 6001 will be replaced with another one.

P.S. Greg, don't look at this post. ;)

I forgot to add........that PJ is sick. I want to upgrade to something like that, but I'm going to wait until my current 65" TV starts to go on the blink:eek:

I am soooo looking forward to a 8'-9' screen of my own!!

Did you run Conduit for the speaker wires or just run bare wire behind your walls?? Did you have to re-drywall or did you use fishwire?? Thanks!!

My dad and I just finished wiring his HT and we just ran bare wire. We cut a bunch of holes in the drywall and then patched them up after we were done! It wasn't too much work to do. We might have used conduit but there was no room for it on the install. Just an FYI.

PS.... besides that being an excellent space, you should research incorporating some acoustic room treatments. It will truly take your sound to the next level. :)

Hi,

Thanks to all for the compliments, we are very happy with how the room has turned out.

Mazer: There is an A/C vent located in front of the couch and another one located behind the couch so that you can relax in a nice climate controlled environment without a strong breeze blowing on you. ;)

Babel: The speaker wire is bare down all of the walls. My father-in-law is a retired electrician and he told us that it would be fine to run bare wire.

Buckeye: We love the JVC:D The 2 places that we went over budget were with the speakers and the pj. But we really think that it was worth it and that we will not have to upgrade for a very loooooooong time. As far as room treatments go, that will be a future project, but one that we do plan on adding.

Sorry for the delay

Hi all,
While the wife and I finally have a chance to post some new pictures of the HT. Sorry it took soooo long to get these on, we have been stuck on 'ludicrous speed' since the new school year started. But here you go;

The popcorn maker was a gift from my grandparents for our labor day party.

We also ordered the Avia II test disk to help with the sub, we found we had a pretty big spike at about 30Hz, so we have used the PEQ and tamed the beast and are very happy with the sound.

Hopefully I will be able to get on and post a bit more.

Hi,
Thanks, we are loving it. The sub is amazing. In the picture of the popcorn maker and the dart board there is a small shelf that is hard to see. The darts are sitting on that shelf, until I played the "Attacked in the fog" scene from Master and Commander!:D I figure a piece of sharpnel from the side wall knocked the darts off:eek: At least that is what if sounded and felt like while watching that scene.:D:D:D

Hi,
No, I bought them for the wife as a Christmas present unframed and then had them framed at a local place. We both really like how they turned out.
