I am looking for both inwall and inceiling speakers for my 7.1 surround. I have been looking at paradigm, polk audio, and speakercraft. Any info or suggestions on these or other speakers would be greatly appriciated.

Check out Vanns.com and look at the Sonance in Ceiling, TL622s ($99), and In wall, S622t ($149). I think they are a great deal and come recommended on some forums. I don't think you could go wrong at those prices.

My advise if your going to do an HT system with in-walls and in-ceilings is to stick with Speakercraft. Why? Because of the Speakercraft AIM series in-walls and in-ceilings. With the AIM series you are able to pivot, and aim the drivers, and tweeter to the listening position. With other speaker companies, most only pivot the tweeter. You will get a better sense that the sound is coming from the screen instead of the ceiling, when your able to pivot both driver, and tweeter.

Speakercraft is also an in-wall, in-ceiling speaker company. Not just a speaker company that makes in-walls, in-ceilings.

The Sonance Symphony® is the best choice if you go with Sonance but they are quite a bit more expensive.

SpeakerCraft is always a great choice.

I finally finished installing the def tech's and they sound awesome. I am very, very happy and would recommend them to anybody looking to go in ceiling.

For the money i love boston acoustics in wall/ceiling(strangely enough dont like the floor standing) Martin Logan's in wall are very detailed. I just installed polk lc80 LCR lc60sr, powered by pioneer elite tsx92 with ML depth sub, $3200 out the door. Client was impressed at "big" sound for the money. Having said that i still perfer to do in walll over in ceiling
