Hello I own a Techinics Receiver Model#SA-GX303, and Im trying to connect my powered subwoofer (JBL Model#SCS125 Simply Cinema), however my receiver does not have a sub output. I was told I could connect the sub using my speaker inputs.. Can someone give me some guidance from the start, on how to hook all this up to my Sony TV, receiver, sub, front speakers and rear speakers.. Can this be done? .

I would think Id start with the TV RCA to receiver then to sub?

Thank you ..

Thanks one more ?

Thanks for the fast reply.. Where should I plug the RCA from the TV in my receiver. It only has phono, CD video, it does not have sub or auxiliary?

Your manual will help explain his. I can't find one on line.

I'll venture to say you can use any high level analog inputs (red/white jacks?) EXCEPT the phono imputs.

sub

I plugged the TV RCA to the CD plug in the rear of the receiver, seems to work, but when I connect the both front speakers it seems to loose the base,, I connected the front speakers to the output of the sub R & L, and the rear speakers to the receiver itself in the rear surround inputs. If I disconnect one of the front speakers the base comes back, but when i connect both of them i seem to loose the base....? Any advise on this.

I'm assuming that the R/L front speaker channels from the receiver are connected to the sub inputs R/L respectively? Check the sub's level and crossover settings. This kind of connection is going to ultimately pull the lows away from your main speakers and re-direct them through your sub (at least that's how I understand it). Also, make sure your polarities are all correct, etc. - all the silly little things that sometimes even the best of us overlook.
