I did the single arm UCL universal mount for my parents and I think you could hang a freshly dressed buffalo on it.

I think the bracket weighs half as much as the TV.

I just mounted my 42" plasma on my wall on tuesday, I would suggest a mount that will take more load then that... $3000.00 plasma on a $25.00 mount.. Not me... http://www.peerlessindustries.com
Make sure you get those screws in the center of the studs....

Peerless is awesome and known for their mounts.. they are a touch more, but worth it.. shop around, I got mine - 42 - 50" for $75 It will handle a load of 200lbs.

I Got this RECESSED LOW VOLTAGE CABLE PLATE WITH RECESSED POWER http://www.datacommelectronics.com/product.php?ID=430 for the power and data pull... worked awesome.. although I had to cut the mount to make it fit, the hole was for single gang box only, and this is a double, which was a little bit of a pain... but it made for a super clean install. I'll be betting you will have someone to help you lift that badboy up there, I managed to lift my 100# 42" by myself, but needless to say, I was a little worried, as its an awkward lift.

I am going to make a plan for hiding the TV (HDMI and power cord) wiring this weekend. Then I can order the necissary supplies.

Cool, that was the best price I found...
Mine did not come with wood screws, but they did have every single adapter for every single make, and model flat panel avail, or so it seemed... I only had to go to ace for 4 - #14 x 2 1/2" screws.

Well I can honestly say that I cut the hole in my mount first, then mounted it on the wall level, then I cut the drywall to the hole size on the mount, then pulled my power and HDMI and composite, oh and don't forget to leave some pulling string there incase you wanted to spur of the moment pull something else up in there from the basement... always plan ahead and for the future.

Uh Oh...Really Weird!!!

Ok... I was watching my new TV... and something REALLY WEIRD just happened....

I started to hear this weird vibration sound. So I hunted the sound down and it is comming from the stamped metal rear of the TV vibrating loudly on certain bass notes.

I am wondering if others with this set noticed the same thing. This is just using the sound/speakers from the TV only.

I am not sure what to do but this does not seem right to me.

Any ideas or input would be great.

I called Panasonic and they are going to send out a service technician to work on it on the morning of Wednesday January 16th. I will update you guys on the progress. Once this rattle/vibration issue is resolved I will be pretty happy with this set.

The PQ is excellent.

Im sorry your having troubles with your new set... that to me is unacceptable for the kind of money you spent... That is another reason why I went with a Professional grade screen, less stuff crammed in there, no speakers, no tuner, less things to heat up as well...

I would buy a prograde unit again in a heartbeat, they are just that good.

Yes, but I'll be lookin at 65" or bigger in 1080p.... and I'm in no hurry, so I'll be waiting it out.. Hopefully not too long though...

I'm just bitter--I really wish they made a 58" 1080p commercial model. Am moving and need to get a new plasma. I don't think the current 65" 1080p commercial Panny is worth the premium over the 58" residential version, so I guess I'm stuck buying the residential.

I have not figured out the details yet. I am definitly mounting the TV on the wall. That much I have figured out. I am considering running an HDMI outlet and power outlet behind the TV to make it hidden. I might move the cable for the cable box also to clean it up a bit. Not sure yet. Comming up with a strategy for the wiring is going to be a little of challenge.

I will say this... in the store the 58" looks small compared to the 65" but when I got the 58" home it looks huge! Even though I had a 57" there before it still just looks really big. I sit around 15 feet away.

For watching movies it looks awesome. I am not sure how but even regular DVD's look better. I can't imagine how good it will look when I get a pro calibration. I am planning on picking up one of the setup disks like Avia makes and see what I can do with it. If it works well it can come in very handly.

I went to a local Integra dealer to pick up a 9.8 today and someone got there an hour ealier and picked up the last one they had. The whole shipment sold in 3 days. Those things are flying out the door.

Sorry to hear you missed the last 9.8. Do you plan to have the 9.8 do the scaling for your system--or leave that to the display?
