Anybody familiar with this Furniture?

Came across this website in my search for a stand or cabinet to put my components:

I've never heard of them, but their stuff looks like a good bang for the buck. Too bad they don't have a dark enough color wood for me. I like that dark brown "espresso" color. I find that furniture is one of the most over-priced parts of a home theater. I have a buddy that spend $500 on his TV stand!!! That's crazy to me.

Did I miss it or were there specs on how much weight each shelf could hold?

There are no weight specs but it does say the body & shelves are made from 3/4" 15 ply plywood (oak or maple). This will definitely support the equipment I plan to put in them.

My biggest question is how well are these cabinets finished? If the laquer is just slapped on with no sanding it can turn a pretty nice piece of furniture into junk. This is why I was wondering in anyone here is familiar with this furniture maker.

Dave. Why don't you call or write these people and ask about the quality of their finishes. From what I read and saw, they offer furniture grade stuff with "a hand rubbed lacquer finish". I'm sure they would be willing to discuss their process for finishing with you.
