I am trying to find a way to dial in my 5.1 setup without having to shell out another $50 for a sound meter or $100ish for a setup disk, anyone have a 'poor mans" way of getting the speakers dialed in?

Thanks.

ps. please dont reply with 'your ears' :D

Not on my H/K AVR 430. Well, maybe. You did say a pretty good job. A $45 Radio Shack job made all the difference in the world to me. As far as I'm concerned that is the cheap fix and I picked up a cheap calibration disk for $10 o ebay. I'm sorry I did that, as it only took money away from a $40 Avia. You wouldn't put cheap spark plugs in a fast car, would you? ;)

Buy the meter and rent a setup DVD. But, they don't cost $100.
By the way, what do you mean by dialing it in? Level matching? Or, frequency testing etc.
