lol i was waiting for someone to say that
i have control over my rears as they are powered by 2 amps i only really use all of them for games i know that to many rears is bad but in this set up it works well
they where on a super sale so i was what like the hell and did it
sounds better then it looks the room is open in the back so the sound has somewhere to go

Your system and room looks like a lot of fun and loud as hell!

Why is the gain on your two QSC's so low? What are those powering? Wouldn't you be better off lowering the input signal and bringing up the gain?

Have you taken an SPL meter in here by any chance?

you see here in canada haveing a weed tray on the table is kind of like have beer or a pack of smokes on the table you dont think about it
for lot of folk up here weed is for the most part not really a drug anymore
crack and meth these are the real drugs

i am sorry if anyone thinks less of me for haveing a weed tray in my pic but if you do good for you
Haha, don't worry about it man - I only saw one negative response to it out of many. I've seen a lot of angry drunks, never an angry stoner. You're room looks like a total smoke-out room, I almost expected the herb before getting to that last picture anyways. ;) After I saw the sweet leaf I started looking at the other pictures looking for a hidden bong or chillum or something, haha

the gains are so low because the qsc's have a lot of power i played with it over the years and where i have them seems to be about right
the top one powers energy veritas v2.2 and the other one powers the tops in the ars3 haveing the two amps lets my set the gains for for each speaker to help blance them out

i had a slp meter in my old set up when i had just one bose bin and hit about 126db
the set up i have now is louder by a lot maybe around 130db+ on a test tone at about 35hz or so i have to get a new meter then i will let you know for sure

Hey man,

Looks like fun time party time.

Sounds like you're going for some max SPL and such. If that's the goal, then cool. But if you're going for sound quality, I don't think that stacking mains on top of each other, or putting two centers side by side is the way to go. Speaker radiation patterns don't expect to have another speaker adjacent to them (or really in the same room at all). The signals produced from each speaker combine with each other positively in some cases, and negatively in others. This screws up the frequency response and other things, leading to poor imaging and decreased sound quality all around. Anyway, just an observation...

Have fun!

A negative response and a joke can easily be confused. I enjoyed looking at all the pic's, especially THAT one. Since I missed the girl on the first go round, I got to enjoy it twice. :)

i was waiting for some one to say that .
when i had the just one amp powering 2 mains they did not play nice with each other cause the energys sensitivity is 89 and the ar3 are 94 so they did not blend well the ars where way louder
the imaging has allways been very good
frequency response was good but not great the mids where a bit muddy
but when i got the other qsc so i could level them out it helped a lot and it does sound a lot better when i have both mains going at the same time then just one positively in this case but befor the 2 amps not so much
so i see where you are coming from

i was never really going for max spl it just happen that way you know how it is one good deal lead to a another and so on
the two centers i might cut down to one i still have to play with it
but the mains play nice with each other now so i think i will leave it the way it is

but thanks for your observation.
and i mean that in a nice way:D
