I plan to be well lubricated by kickoff. In fact, I'll be heading out for necessary game day supplies pretty soon. I was thinking about starting my pre-game warm up by spinning a couple blu-rays this afternoon while I have the house to myself.

I thought just maaaaaybe, watching a bunch of zombies get their butts kicked would be a good warmup for tonights game. I picked up the Resident Evil boxed set over the weekend and thought I might watch 1-2 of them today before the game.......very loudly. LOL

I'm a huge college football fan, and I could care less. With the exception of a few games the bowls have generally sucked this year. You could count on one hand the games that were genuinely close and exciting- and the best 2 games happened 6 days ago on Jan 1- Florida vs. Michigan and Texas Tech vs. Virgina. ALL of the BCS games have been complete letdowns, with only Kansas vs. Va Tech being mildly entertaining- and even for such a close game it was played so poorly. I'm so sick of this ridiculous bowl system, and even sicker that there are 40 and 50 day layoffs in between games that clearly show when the teams play. As much as I'd love a playoff, I'd say that even switching back to the old system would produce better games than the garbage we had to watch this year.

That said, I'll still probably watch at least the first quarter before getting bored and playing guitar hero.

I guess the top team in the nation has already been crowned, then! In my aged, half-operational mind, there were two outstanding teams this year...Oregon for the first half of the season, USC for the second. Huge numbers of injuries to key players decimated both teams and kept both from going undefeated.

I'm with Abe. I'm a big-time college f-ball fan, too. But this one will be a bore. Two okay teams out of lousy conferences (this year) = a nice movie on my new HD-DVD player tonight! Or wait...isn't House on the tube tonight?

Pretty sure LSU has not won a BCS championship since 2003.... check your records- Florida won last year
