When you get them done, I want to come down and get a listen to them.
I Am taking my Sweet A$$ time on these, and I feel stupid about it.. but I do have to say, that I want them done beautifully and If that means going slow, thats the way it will be. That is why I bought the extra sub, so I wouldn't be lacking in the Bass department while under construction, making me feel like I had to hurry... I think that once SVS discontinues the Plus/2 that it won't be very hard to sell them if need be.
I know I am doing something that is against the grain by building these out of solid cherry wood, so I have to cover all my bases.
I did see something interesting the other day on Discovery Channel's Smash Lab, in where they were trying to create a explosion proof building, and they painted the inside of a truck bed with Rhino Liner and put a car bomb underneath it, it held up to the forces of the huge blast, where without the liner, it totally disintegrated - truck gone!!! Which proved my theory of using that product on the inside of my box to minimize outward forces, which will also serve to deaden the box from resonance as well. The liner cures to almost a hard rubberized plastic. I am testing some different products now.
After those tests they painted the entire front of a building with the stuff, and the building took the force of a far larger blast, where normally it would have leveled it... I thought that was wicked cool...
