Hi , I am honestly at my wits end as to what I should get to get the best rich audio experience I crave.

I purchased a Denon 987 and a polk audio 12 inch sub recently. I have been reading this and various other forums and have pretty much settled on the paradigms.

I have an offer for a pair of 10 year old Paradigm 11SE MK 111 's for $400 (Cad) The other option is going for the new monitor 7 series at $650 a pair.

I reviewed the 7 series as well as the nines. Though the Monitor nines sound fuller with deeper bass, the sevens sound more accurate, though a little "held back".

Please help me decide, how I can get full rich round with crystal clear highs, rich mids and deep clear bass. (My old Nakamichi delivered awesome audio)

My room is about 14 x 10

Thanks

With a sub, I would actually go with the paradigm studio 20's. If your dead set on a tower speaker, I would go with the newer monitor 7's over the 11SE MK 111 's. But if your willing to take the time to dial in the sub correctly, I think the Studio 20 is a very full sounding speaker with a much richer mids and highs.

Buy these (Studio 20 v4)

They will be superior to the Monitors for a wee bit more.

Does it have to be Paradigm or are you considering other brands?

Here we go!!!. :D

Just like the other members have mentioned. If your looking to achieve audio bliss, then the Paradigm Monitor series is not it. I agree that the Studio series would be a huge step-up in sound quality. The Paradigm Studio series is one of the best values in sound quality, vs. price. Excellent bang for the buck. :D

As 3db mentioned "does it have to be Paradigm?" If the Studio series is out of your budget, but you don't want to sacrifice sound quality. Take a look at Ascend Acoustics 340's. Excellent sounding speakers with detail and clarity.

If these look like they are for you. Right now they are $100 bucks off on sale.

They even have the base for the 340's on sale.

Other suggestions are available upon request. :D

Mazer is correct. The 340's are nice. He has helped me out a bunch this past year. Just remember that the ascends just aren't as pretty as some of the other speakers available, something to keep in mind if that's important to you.
