I have the opportunity to buy 2 Studio 20 v.2s for around $300 shipped. They have some cosmetic dings but the owner insists that they were treated well musically. So $300 shipped? Good price?

Also, I'm looking at picking up a CC590 used. Might there be timber matching problems being from different product years???

Thanks!

You would have timbre matching problems if for example Paradigm changed the drivers or tweeter in the later versions. A Paradigm dealer once told me that Paradigm trickles down their speakers with the Signature and Studio line. For example he said that the new v4 Studio are almost exactly the same as the last generation Signatures.

That would not work. You need the Studio CC center channel speaker.

I paid $400 for my Studio 20 v2's a few years ago. I don't know what they are selling for today. Look on E-bay, Audiogon, and Craigslist.

 The cc-590 is in the Studio line:
Yes the newer Studio line.

You are looking at Studio 20 V (version) 2

If I am correct, the CC-590 is the center channel for the Studio V4.

I see what you're saying. Yes you are correct.

I don't know how it would sound, but you could always purchase it (CC-590), and find out.

The CC center used to sell for about $350 bucks. Do some research on E-Bay, Audiogon, and Craigslist to find out now what they sell for.

Or like I said purchase the CC-590. If you don't like the match between the Studio V2's, and it. You could always up-grade to the Studio V4's. :D

My one audio regret was selling my Studio 20 v.2, very detailed and engaging speaker. I had mine paired with a CC470 v.3 centre and they matched very well. Oh and for $300 delivered I would jump on it assuming this damage is very light and mostly not noticable.
