Ok... I have a quick question. Could somone give me their opinion as to wich power amp setup would be the best route

to take in order to get the best out of a NHT system consisting of a pair of Classic Fours and a Three C for the LCR speakers and a pair of Classic Threes as rears.... Oh, and I will strictly be using my Onkyo TX-SR800's pre-outs as my pre-amp and for my LFE I have a 15 inch SoundSplinter DIY, huge enclosure ran by a Buttkiciker BKA 1000-4. IT ROCKS.... AND GETS DEEP....

Option 1.) 1 Parasound HCA 2205A 5 channel with 220wpc

Option 2.) 1 Parasound HCA 2250A 2 ch. amp to power the Classic Fours
up front rate at 250wpc RMS.
1 Parasound HCA 1203A 3 ch. amp to power the 3 C center and
the two Classic Threes as the rear L & R speakers.

Option 3.) 5 Monoblock Outlaw audio M-200s (or the newer version M-2200s)
or at the 5 NHT A1s -- they seem to be virtually the same exact
amps on paper and from what I have read.

It Looks like I might be able to get a better deal on 5 NHT A1s vs the Outlaw -2200s

One more thing to toss in here is that I have considered adding a pair of Classic Threes to have my HT set up with the Threes all the way around with the big daddy SS 15inch sub for LFE and just keep my Classic Fours in my bedroom and add a 2 ch power amp in the near future in order to make a good stereo setup............. or I could leave it like it is now and just add some towers later on for my stereo setup in my room....???? Sorry, I know this is a bunch of rambling, run-on, knowledge lacking, jabber, but I figured someone on here could help me out with this and what would be the most effective and efficient route for me to take in this.. Thanks.

Parasound Vs Outlaw I would always go with Parasound they make some serious stuff.
What I have read here and other user forums also people prefer Parasound over a lot other similar price point Amplifiers available in markets.
You can also look at Sunfire I have also read a lot good about them.

I would go with option 1 & be done with it.

Both are good companies that make great equipment. But I prefer an all in 1 box solution for amplification rather than trying to find enough outlets or powerstrips for 5 separate monoblocks.

Thanks for the input guys. It is greatly appreciated. The more I look into this .. I think you guys are right. Parasound does seem to be more superior to Outlaw in terms of build quality and overall performance... (not to take anything away from Outlaw... probably one of the best amps for the price PERIOD.). Also, I agree with you Cfrizz, about the do 1 and be done with it..... to add to that, I read that each of the 5 channels in the 2205A have their own independant power supply.. So does this mean it is NO DIFFERENT than the "so called" benefit of, in a perfect world, having monos going to every driver due to its own dedicated power than is not shared or accessed by other channels..... or is it still a little different. If that is the case, then it would be a NO BRAINER to go with the Parasound 2205a. Now the hard part, finding a used one in good shape that I can afford at the moment. LOL. Thanks again guys... And any additional feedback or other possible suggestions or scenarios are definitely welcome and encouraged. Take care.

Check Audiogon every single day, several times a day. This is how I got my prepro for a great price!

Five Channels in One vs. Monoblocks

One more consideration; would you rather run 15-30 feet of speaker cables to the rear channels or would you rather run interconnects to the monoblocks in the rear? Not saying one way is better than the other, just that it's another choice to consider.:)

Well if he wants to have surround sound in back he will have to run the wire regardless as well as an IC to let the receiver or prepro know that speakers are attached.
