Looking for some TV recommendations

I'm looking at buying a TV in the future. I want something big, 1080p, and good PQ. LCD, DLP, Plasma, doesn't matter. DLP seems to be the main choice right now given that a 1080p set 50 or more inches is much much easier on the wallet.

Price range is $1500 - $2000

Here is what I've been pondering so far:

Sony KDS-55A3000

Samsung HL-T5687S

And anything on this page: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=2102640487+1251016243&name=1920+x+1080

I'm guessing I won't be able to find a 1080 LCD or Plasma that size for that price that isn't garbage. I'm pretty sure I want to stay big, but maybe I can be convinced that getting a smaller LCD/Plasma is a better idea.

Go with Mit or Sony RP. Best and biggest picture for the buck. Can't beat it. I would go with the Mit.

Out of the ones you listed I would go for the Sony A3000. But how far will you be sitting from the TV?

As close as I can get away with, haha. The room isn't set up yet. But the furthest I would be away would be roughly 10 feet.

I'll also reccommend the Mits DLP for size, cost, and PQ.

I own the WD-65734 (bought from Amazon) and simply love the thing.

Nice thing is the 734 is a better model than the 733, and it costs $180 less on Amazon than the 733 from Best Buy.

Highly reccommend this unit.

Edit: Just thought of this; but Mits also seems to be one of the few companies staying in the RPTV business. I know that Sony recently stated they were discontinuing the line-ups, so parts for those TVs may become scarce in the long term.

Samsung is still in the biz. Their LED light source DLP have the potential to really reduce the cost/frequency of light source replacement. I believe I saw the 56" at my local Fry's electronics for $1999. If RPTV were my thing you'd bet I'd be going for the one with the light source that will last the longest.

So I just sold one of my cars, which means NEW TV TIME!

Is there anything comparable to the Sony KDS-55a3000 around the same price? I'm looking to spend about $1500.
