LOL you have waaaay too many speakers hooked up. I feel sorry for your receiver :(. First of all the extra channel on the receiver like I said earlier is ONLY mean for either a 2nd zone or for biamping the 2 fronts. It is not meant for you to actually connect 4 front speakers. That will mess up the sound and odds are it will put an unnecessary strain on the receiver. Your room looks like it is optimal for 5.1 and not 7.1 so get rid of those 2 rear speakers that are next to each other as well.

Try this:
Just hook up all 5 yamaha speakers that you just bought and the 2 subs and don't hook up the pioneers at all. See how that sounds and report back.

Well instead of unhooking those I just pushed a button on the Receiver remote and turned the Pioneers off. :D

Those two speakers in the back, that are right next to each other, help put the sound behind us. I turned on Italian Job and there's a boat scene at the beginning, and as two boats passed You heard the boat behind you then the sound shot to the front speakers making is sound as if the boats zinged right passed us. SO, I would hate to loose those. :(

Is it really bad to run the 7CH and the Extra? I didn't know that? That stinks. :( Sounds pretty cool thoe.

The two extra's in the front I angled slightly different from the main Left and Right's. FOR hopefully different sound location sounds??:)

Thanks for coming back to my thread!!:)

You have come a long way since you joined. I'll just make one suggestion here. You can't have any kind of soundstage going on with the left and right mains just as centered as the center. Your best bet is to get the TV out of the corner more over to where the little table is so you can spread your mains apart a little bit.

Ya, I think of that a lot.

The only thing with that, that I worry about is how I would have everybody sit? The day we go shopping for different Furniture YOU KNOW I will have that in mind!:D

BUT the room is next on my PROJECT: Home Theater venture, so we'll see...

Remember my name, I'm sure I will keep coming in here with left field purchases and Idea's. Keep's things interesting I guess. :)
