Marantz Sr6400 or 7001

Hey Guys,

I am seriously considering buying the LPA-1 amplifier and will be using one of the two receivers that I have as a per/pro (Marantz Sr6400 or 7001) which one do you think will do a better job at it?

Let me know as I have my 7001 in storage just waiting.

The 7001 is newer, and should have more up to date processing modes.

While processing mode are good in their own right I am not very concerned about that, I only use dolby EX and DTS for movies anyhow.

I am just wondering if 7001 is better or worse than the 6400 as a per/pro?

Probably about the same, pick the one with the features you need. The 7001 more than likely has better DACs as well, but the audible differences between the two receivers should be minimal to none.

No, dont think of it that way. I had this revious poast with seth=L, so I decided to ak him. Please no hard feelings But I did ask you the question in the next forum. All I am trying to do is to get the sound that I had at first from my system and I do not like to be a bother to people.

I am aggrevating over this whole, to rectify it I have even bought a SR7001 and then put it into storage. I am now contemplating buying a Emotiva LPA-1 or the Behringer A500 in the hope that it will help. No hard feelings please.

I don't know what receiver you had, but I wouldn't go to crazy trying to power them.
