Hi All,

I was looking at a DIY speaker: The Schumakubin's. Any one with experience on these?

There is a kit with pre-cut baffles, finished x-over and drivers. It's cheaper to get the kit than to source the parts directly from PartsExpress.

Thanks for any input in advance. They may just be my next DIY project.

The drivers used, are of great quality, regardless of price. The stamped metal frame on the mid-woofer may look cheap, but the driver has a great diaphragm with a smooth, non-resonant behaviour and good motor, regardless.

I have not, however, seen a sufficient credible measurement set of this completed speaker system in order to comment on this kit in particular. But the cabinet appears to be a typical resonant DIY design. I would highly recommend putting forth specific effort beyond the typical DIYer in reducing cabinet resonances; but I always make that recommendation. :)
