Don't support a company like Monster who sues anyone and everyone that uses the word "monster" in a product (IE: Disneys' Monsters Inc.).

Go to Monoprice and get one of theirs. I can guarantee you it will work just as well. If you want a fancier look, get on with the fish net braid.

Both the price and the quality should take into consideration.

An HDMI cable is an HDMI cable, you won't see any difference in quality through the price ranges. Don't waste your money on an expensive one.

i totally have to disagree, their is a huge difference in cables from cheap dollar store hdmi cable compared to 300 dollar cables, theirs just very little difference between a 100 - 300 dollar cable. cables are a major part of the home theater experience that most people always over look.

There will be no difference between competently designed cables. A cable of resonable build quality will perform as well as a cable at $300.00. There are poorly designed cables out there that will have inferior performance, but there will be no realized difference between a 3ft. cable that is $30.00 and one that is $300.00.

Can you describe these "huge" differences? When it comes to an HDMI cable you have one of three scenarios.

1. The cable works perfectly - Every bit of data is passed correctly and the picture is displayed glitch free.

2. The cable is improperly designed or defective - you get "sparkles" in the image.

3. The cable flat out doesn't work - there is no picture or the picture drops out.

When dealing with lengths of HDMI cables under 10 feet the likelihood of having any problems at all is very small unless you have a defective cable. There is absolutely no reason to spend more than $30 for an HDMI cable under 10ft. In fact, I paid a total of $15 with shipping for two HDMI cables that are in use in my system (one 6ft, one 10ft). When you get into longer lengths you have to be more careful in your selection. You certainly don't have to pay huge amounts of money though. My $60 35ft HDMI cable from Monoprice works flawlessly and has proven to be very durable.

Digital video (and audio) is either going to be perfect (as perfect as the source is) or will have major issues.
