Summer vacation plans?

Winter = cold, wet and freaking dark way to early = It sucks

The last couple of years we rented beach houses on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Great family holiday, surfing, bike riding, kite flying, hanging at the beach…. Think I’ll hit my wife with the summer vacation stuff tonight. Beats talking about todays weather.

I don't take blocks of vacation time. Instead, I schedule several 3-day weekends throughout the year (and the occasional 4-day weekend.)

Ahhh. But the flip side of that coin is that the solstice was practically a week ago...so the days are getting longer for the next 177 days!

June 6th- I leave for 9 days in a private villa in Tuscany (courtesy of my father celebrating his 60th birthday). I look forward to wine tastings, driving the countryside, and making meals with fresh ingredients from the market
