Poll - Vote which sub cable you'd use

One of these choices is going to be foolish, but which one?
Buy the cheap cable thinking there will be no difference?
Buy the expensive cable thinking there will be?

1) Monoprice: High-quality Digital Coaxial Audio RCA CL2 Rated Cable - RG6/U 75ohm S/PDIF Subwoofer - 35ft $9.97

2) Blue Jeans: LC-1 35ft $49.25

They aren't the same cable. Is there a perceptible performance difference between them? Hum, etc...?

I wasn't all that impressed with the construction of the less expensive cables from Monoprice, but for a sub I don't see it being an issue.

FYI: You can get a 35ft coaxial digital cable from BJC for $31 and it is essentially the same thing as the LC1.

Monoprice is good enough unless you need to show it off, or talk about it

So, just buy the less expensive one then and just hide it, although it is not an ugly cable

Well, I started with the idea that I'd buy a HTIB or just above it, quickly got sucked in (with help from your fellow members of course!).

I wasn't that interested in becoming a techno-weenie, but I am very interested in the end result. One leads to the other so, here I am.

I just ordered a set of subwoofer cables from Monoprice. I've been very happy with previous orders from Monoprice. That would be my vote. They are much higher quality cables than you would ever expect for the price. Everything I've got from there is just an mind blowing value, including HDMI, Toslink and component.

Ordered the sub cable from Monoprice.com. The first thing my husband said when he unrolled it was, "Wow, this is a nice cable." Supple, beautiful RCA ends. Thanks for the good advice guys.
