Hi:

I am a new member who has a small problem.
I have a full home theater in the mainfloor of our place and it works fine.
I have Paradigm Studio Series Speakers.
My problem arrises with my wife and our speakers in our living area. She feels they are too large, " and ugly ".
I am looking for some smaller speakers that I can attach to the walls.
I have come accross the B&W M1, which appears to fit the bill.

Now I have two questions,
does anyone have any experience with these, and if not are there any other recommendations that I have not come accross.

thanks in advance.

If you went with those sats it would be a huge downgrade from your paradigm studios. If anything you should check out mini monitors like the B&W CM1, ERA D4/D5, and maybe the Usher S-520. The CM1's will get you great sound comparable to the Studio in a real small package.

Sorry to say, I would have to agree with geno...

I hope your prepared for the downgrade in audio quality...

I would stipulate to your wife, that you might have to go through a few sets of speakers to find something that will sound descent..

Good Luck partner.. its a sad sad day... when one loses the battle of the WAF... :(

BTW, what are you going to do with your studio's and which models do you own...? version..?

Sorry to miss lead you guys. My wife would never make me do anything in the Home Theater that I didn't want to. These speakers I am talking to are for our Living area. I currently have some older speakers that she thinks are ugly, and too large, though they are actually quite good. The M1's would be to replace these for non Critical listening of music.

thanks again.

In that case some ERA D4 or Usher S-520 all around would make for a nice setup. They are $400/pair but if you buy a whole setup you will get a nice discount which can put a whole 5.1 set for like $1000 maybe.
