2 sets of 7.1 speakers on the same B&K 507 reciever?

Hello, I currently have Energy Encore speakers hooked up to my B&K 507 THX ULTRA2 reciever and wanted to know if it is bad for my reciever to connect another set to the same channels? I have another set of 7.1 energy encore speakers sitting in my garage and thought about doubling my current configuration. That would be 2 speakers connected to each channel or wire. I know this sounds strange, but I figure these speakers are going to waste and I can't sell them for that much. I would place them 6 inches apart on top of each other. The speakers are somewhat concieled, so the esthetics wouldn't be a problem. Will this damage my system?

You add it to the same channels, it will most likely halve the speaker impedance at the amp, it will not like it one bit.
and, you really don't gain anything and might make it worse.
