Got x-sub today. What are those spikes?

Hey all:

I received my x-sub from AV123. One strange thing I notice is that it came with some spikes that can be fitted in the bottom on the sub itself. Nowhere in the manual does it talk about this. Any suggestions if I should use them? and what do they do? Oh, and some discs also came, where it looks like you can sit the spikes. I have hardwood floors!

They are designed to decouple the subwoofer from the floor. If you wish to use the spikes set it on rug or remnant.

They are carpet spikes to basically "ground" your sub. You are correct the disc are for the spikes to be used with hard surface floors.

Also note, the sub will work fine with the base directly on the carpet. The included spikes are kind of an audiophile tweak.
