Hey,
I was wondering if anybody knew if I could wall mount the x-ls, or if I would have to spend the extra money on the stands.

In general what do you guys think about the x-mtm versus the Paradigm Monitor 7s. Both set-ups would run me about the same amount of money (the Paradigms a little bit more) considering the shipping the costs for the av123s.

Thanks for any input.

I've heard the Monitor 7/9 and they both sound pretty good. I really like the look of their cabinets. Have you heard them already? If not you should definitely take a look at them. I was just spoiled by the Studio 40 which are my favorite speakers in the entire Paradigm lineup.

I really liked the Monitor 7s, the problem is that the Paradigm centers are all to wide to fit into my entertainment center. (Hence, my other thread LINK)
The x-cs would however fit since it's a little bit slimmer than the Paradigm centers. Man, I'm seriously getting tired of my space constraints...

Well can you get a center stand? The Paradigm dealer I went to also sold stands specifically made for centers. Not even the smallest Monitor center will fit?

IMO the X-mtm's are a better speaker then the Monitor series speakers for the money. I haven't auditioned the new monitor series, this assessment is based of auditioning the old Monitor series.

The x-ls's had a plate that mounted to the bottom for wall mounting. I don't see it listed on the web-site. E-mail or call AV123 and ask if still available.

"Could" or "Should" ? These are rear ported speakers, so more distance from the wall is better.

2" inches from the wall. The speakers need to be at least the length of the diameter of the port away from the wall.

Yeah the old Monitor series wasn't as good as the new one. I listened to the old Monitor 9s and the new ones are a lot better. They are a lot cleaner and you have more details with them. I wish there would be a place where I could audition the x-mtms....

Yeah the CC-190 is about 2 inches too wide. I mean I think I could make it work, if I put my cable box and dvd player on the floor. It would look kind of awkward though... I like things that look symmetrical.
