help with my new onkyo 805, please!

this amp is way over my head, but i got it shipped for less than $700 canadian.

i'm looking to see if there is a way to change default audio levels between inputs because my sattelite is a lot less loud than my xbox360 (always was) and its annoying to have to hold the volume button for like three seconds every time i switch.

also, i am trying to program my 50" samsung plasma into the onkyo remote, and in the instructions it says to input the 4 digit code for the tv, but there are no codes supplied. where might i find this code?

and i guess i will throw in a quesiton about the audysey auto setup. if the prime listening position is a two person love seat, what should i do for the three different testing positions, and how do i hold the mic? with the flat part down, and the whole up, im guessing?? thanks.

The feature is called IntelliVolume and is described in the manual.

Those are 'setup codes' and are really just an index into a table in memory that has the details of the commands used by a particular device. If none exists for the Samsung then there is nothing you can do about it. However, many devices use the same IR protocol and codes so it is possible that a setup code for another manufacturer will work. The manual describes how to cycle through all the setup codes.

Mic straight up, just as you would if you were doing it manually with an SPL meter. If you have a tripod that would be even better so you can get behind the mic and not have your body affect the measurements. I bought a cheap tripod at Radio Shack for $15 and works perfectly.
