Silly rabbit.....It is of course a good thing when the regular season is over. Granted, being ranked #1 or #2 has been the huge jinx for all of 2007, but you can't win a national title if not ranked #1 or #2 at the end when it matters most.

Georgia didn't win their conference. No team that doesn't win their own conference deserves to play for the NC IMO. They also lost both of their games in regulation to non-ranked teams.

Kansas? Kansas lost - in the last week of the season - to the only team they played this year that currently has votes in any of the polls.

LSU is #2 in all of the polls this week. Both of their losses were very very close and came in triple OT games, and both to teams that finished the season ranked. There are no teams that deserve to be #2 above them.

So it looks like an LSU - OSU NC game. I can't wait

Thanks for coming on board. I love SEC football and IMO it's without doubt the toughest conference in College Football. As was noted above why do some teams without winning a conference title game like cough BIG.. cough.. 10 teams, get to go?
Anyways, I would love to see a healthy LSU vs. OSU.

LSU is in........I can't wait!! It should be a great game

OSU will enter this championship game with an entire different attitude from last year. Last season they had the Smith/Heisman distractions, they were 12-0 and feeling invincible, the media harped endlessly how OSU was unbeatable, Florida didn't have a chance, did UF even deserve to be in the game with OSU?.....yadda, yadda, yadda...and the result was the Buckeyes laid a gigantic egg.

For many teams, making it to the big game is the goal...and this OSU team knows from recent experience that it's all about winning.....because showing up and getting your hat handed to you is no fun at all. This year....they show up ready to play!!

The media will be doubting and harping on how OSU doesn't have a chance against LSU, etc, etc.... It all sounds eerily similar to 2002 when the Buckeyes didn't have a chance against Miami. I think the Bucks arrive with a nasty attitude and a chip on their shoulder with something to prove after last seasons embarrassing loss.

The Bucks show up angry and win a hard fought game...... and Tressel improves his national championship game record to 2-1

I think *both* teams are going to come in with an attitude. LSU is pissed about dropping two close games and there are a lot of doubters about whether they belong in the NC game because of those losses.

Should be a great NC game for once.
