Hi,
I am new here. I dont really have any kind of tech knowledge about connecting music systems. I need some help.

I recently found a pioneer amp (Model: SX 424). Its really old, I know, but I am studying in a university, and I cant really afford to get a new music system. I also have a pair of pioneer speakers along with it (Model: CS 40). I have lost all the wires required to connect these two together and could really use ur help. I have a few pics of the amp (u can see all the connections) and also of the speakers. I could mail them to anyone interested in helping me out. I just need to know what kind of wire I need and how I need to connect it.

Thanks for ur help

Please send me pics of the back of the speakers and Amp.

Normally if you have one speaker pair you can connect it to speaker A of your Amp.
Speaker connection B is for a second pair of speakers (toilet or bathroom).

You can use cable 2x2,5 mm2.
2x1,5 mm2 is also OK.

ok...thanks. but like i said, i dont need to connect anything else to the wires, but just insert them into the slots in the amp? there is no spring or clamp which will hold the wires in after they are inserted in...sorry to sound so dumb, but i really dont know a lot about this

Ok,

You have to use the right male connectors for the amp. to connect the cables.

Like this one...

Here in The Netherlands they are different I think!

You can buy it in a HIFI store, please let you advise by the HIFI store.

I'm from The Netherlands

Please go to the local HIFI store for the connectors, here in Holland they are different.

Buy speaker wire at Radio Shack or wherever, strip 1 1/2" ov the ends and tin them with solder and a soldering iron. Bend them in a loop at the speaker side and connect them. That's the best way. If that's impossible just twist the ends.
