Can I buy JUST a 5.1 PC subwoofer? Mine blew up

Like I don't need any speakers with it, just the woofer itself. It was a logitech one, where there are 4 RCA plugs for RR, RL, FL, Center. The "Right" is not a RCA plug, it is this large cable that looks like a VGA plug.

It goes from PC --> Right Speaker via 3 stereo mini plugs (Green/Black/Yellow) --> Subwoofer via "VGA-looking" cable --> Other speakers via normal RCA cables.

I've seen this before, except the Center speaker was the distribution speaker, not the Right.

I don't care if it's Logitech or whatever brand. Does anyone know where to buy this cheep without having to buy other speakers?

Thanks

Call Logitech and see what it will cost? usually these setups are proprietary.

Yep, the Logitech's have proprietary connectors. You may be able to order a replacement bass module from Logitech, but more than like the whole thing will need to be replaced. What exactly happened to the bass module?

Just so happens that I have one of the Logitech subs as you described.
Where are you located and what's it worth to you?

Tell me about it. It's been sitting in my living room and I had know idea just what to do with it. My son gave it to me and I didn't need it but was to good to just through out.

Well it works, but it's clips in loud music. Not only does it clip, but it causes all the other speakers attached to it to clip as well.

But my room mate has a similar logitech model, and he let me borrow it for a test. I hooked it up and there was no clipping in any of the speakers.

What happened was I keep it under my desk and use it as a foot-rest so I may have borked the connector.

Yeah, this also applies to Creative Labs.
I've had to buy special cords from them, for the hookup to the AVR (for 5.1)
But cable works like a charm.:)
