Hi all,

I know that this is probably not the right forum for this but I wanted to make sure that many of you saw it.

Over the course of the last 3 weeks I have had my first experience with AllPosters.com and I would strongly like to add that it will, and is not, not be my last.

On October 13th 2007 I order a custom framed Transformers movie poster from AllPosters.com. The order was put together and shipped 2 days later and I received it on October 19th 2007. I was very impressed with the shipping time as they are in the US and I am in Canada, usually takes two weeks at minimum.

Got the package home, received it at work, and ripped right into it. My excitment was soon turned to disappointment as I saw that one of the corners was cut incorrectly and did not meet leaving a large visible gap. I thought to myself "This is going back". I reasearched their return policy and it looked like I would have to pay shipping to return it and for them to ship me a replacement if I wanted another. Very disappointed now, I had paid $42 CDN to get it to me in the first place and I really did not like the thought of paying another $42 to ship it back and another $42 to get a new one. I decided I would keep the one I had and live with it and would never buy from them again.

Well almost two weeks went by and the flaw in the frame really started to irk me like you wouldn't believe so I said screw it and contacted the company via e-mail on Nov 1st 2007. I quoted them on their 100% satifaction promise and how the flaw in the frame was obviously their fault and not shipping damage.

Honestly, I was probably way too harsh in a first contact e-mail, but as I said I was pissed about it and it had two weeks to build up. I received a very polite e-mail back within an hour asking me if I wanted a refund or a replacement. I chose replacement but also said that I did not think I should have to pay shipping to get the original back or the new one out to me. Again within an hour of me sending my response I received a response from AllPosters.com that stated that since the error was theirs the shipping was absolutely not my responsibility and that it was not necessary to ship the original item back to them.

I was pretty much amazed!!

I received another e-mail shortly thereafter that evening stating that the order for the replacement had been sent for processing and it should ship in a few days. I was even more amazed. Within the span of about 3 hours, in the late evening I might add, the problem had been resolved to better than my satisfaction.

Now all I had to do was wait for the shipment.

Well, it is now 12:30pm Mountain time in Calgary, Alberta, Canada on November 7th 2007 and I am staring at the replacement framed poster and it is perfect in every way. All corners have been scrutinized and the non-glare plexi-glass has been throughly gone over for scratches and none found. It is perfect.

Outstanding :D

I know this was a long post about a framed poster, but I just cannot say enough about the customer service I received at AllPosters.com. To boot I have already put another 2 orders in with them.

Beyond customer service the site and its custom framing gallery is really cool. It lets you select frames and mats and apply them to the poster you are looking at buying, really cool!!

Anyway, that's it :D

Cheers and thanks for the ear
Michael

I am in no way associated with AllPoster.com, just a very happy customer

I take it you absolutely love Transformers HD DVD?
I'm still just slightly disappointed in my HD DVD Transformers experience. Maybe my HD-XA1 is not 100%. My DMP-BD10A seems to have a lot better results. I watched The Guardian BD (one of the 5 free BDs) yesterday, and I was very pleased with the PCM soundtrack.

I wish they had used the same voice on Megatron & Starscream as in the cartoons. Was Thundercracker & Skywarp in Transformers?

Can't wait to see Dinobots & all the others.

Wait. They didn't really kill off Megatron, did they?

Yup, loved Transformers. Still not on the HD bandwagon yet, but still loved the movie.

No way they killed off Megatron. There is still a peice of the AllSpark left and it will surely be used to revive/rebuild Megatron. As far as him being dropped into the abyss and the pressure, well it would not be the first time that humans underestimated the transformers.

We shall find out on June 26 2009, Transformers 2 release date :D

Thundercracker & Skywarp were not in this release of Transformers, but I am sure they will be in one of the many sequels.

Cheers

No doubt GlocksRocks!! I say we start a protest to get it moved up :D

Although Alien Vs Predator: Requiem comes out Christmas Day 2007 and although not Transformers 2, it still looks like a good way to spend Christmas.

Cheers

Yes, I can't wait for A.V.P.R. in theaters and on blu-ray.:D
Man, if they made Transformers on blu-ray, I would buy that one too.
The soundtrack to A.V.P. blu-ray was awesome.
And Transformers 2 can't come soon enough. More robots, please! And don't kill any off!

Seriously, I have no life.
Some companies will break before they satisfy their customers while others, this experience, they will bend over backwards to serve. Good to hear a great story and a company like this:D

Hey mtrycrafts,

Totally agree. I have had far too many instances where I have heard "not our problem" and the company refused to do anything. I was pleasantly surprised with this companies attitude towards my overall satifisfaction and it the end it got them two more orders with more to come as I am buying decor for my HT space. (If I ever get it finished that is :()

AcuDefTechGuy,

I cant wait for A.V.P.R. either. Thought the first one was excellent in terms of effects and overall excitement, and the story was not too bad either. At least I now know how the ancient tribes of south america got the seemingly untimely technology they had. More educational than the History Channel :D

I am thinking that Blu-Ray will pop my HD cherry :)eek:) as I hope to get a PS3 soon, but would still like an HD DVD player as Transformers is on that format.

Cheers all

Transformers is DreamWorks Studio/Speilberg/Michael Bay, & since Steven Spielberg and Michael Bay both love Blu-ray, I don't think it will take too long before it will be available on BD.
Besides the current Transformers HD DVD is not even TrueHD or PCM.:(

I doubt that I will ever even bother to watch Transformers. It really doesn't look very interesting to me.

Tranformers won't win any oscars for Picture, Directing, Actor, Actress, Editing, Script, etc. But it should win for special effects! Seeing giant robots convincingly transform into automobiles and aircrafts is 100% cool.:D

But still cannot forgive them until they put Transformers on Blu-ray/PCM.:D
