Last night I was watching Spiderman 2 on Blu-ray. I had selected the Dolby TrueHD audio track, but according to my PS 3's display, it was outputting the 640 kbps Dolby Digital track. I'm pretty sure that my 661 doesn't decode True HD and I don't think the PS 3 does either. The weird thing is, that I happened to have the display open and when I would fast-forward, the display changed to Dolby TrueHD. So for some reason, the PS 3 either can decode Dolby TrueHD when it fast-forwards, or it just thinks it can decode TrueHD.
Does anyone know why this would be?
Also, my HD-A3 is supposed to be able to output Dolby TrueHD, but I can't really be sure as the display doesn't show you the bitrate of the audio like the PS 3 does. The PS 3 is MUCH more user-friendly than the A3.
