Wouldn't the Infinity be the one of choice here with 250 watts as opposed to 150 watts for the other two subs? Also there is that spec of 24db/ octave as opposed to 12. I'm not sure what that means so a tutorial would be great.
Wattage means nothing by itself. Powered subs are a system in and of themselves. It is how all of the parts in the system interact and work together, woofer, enclosure, and amplifer. They type of room the sub is going into has a bearing as well.
The crossover slope is not of as much importance anymore with modern a/v receivers. The slope you are referring to, 24db/oct. is how fast the response rolls off from the crossover frequency over one octave.
Example:
80hz to 160hz is one octave as is 40hz to 80hz or 500hz to 1000hz
If you have a low pass 24db/oct crossover at 80hz with a 100db fundamental full range signal it will be playing at 76db at 160hz or -24db down from the fundamental.
With a 12db/oct. crossover at 80 hz it would be 88db at 160hz or -12db below the fundamental.
Perhaps I will do a sticky outlining all subwoofer terms here soon.
