WE OWN THE NIGHT (wish someone else did)

Mrs. Caveman and sister-in-law wanted to see it, I figured, meh, why not, so we went to local French bistro then to movies. Well it's not an action flick, so if you're looking for The Departed, they went somewhere else. This is a story of redemption, not a "shoot'em up, wreck all the cars", etc., etc. action flick. I have never seen so many men cry in one movie. It's long, has small moments of hope where you think the movie might just take off.....well it just doesn't happen, even the so-called climatic end wasn't there, jeez talk about anti-climax, the end was disappointing to say the least, predictable to the end. Don't spend your hard earned money, the best this flick can do is a rental.

Yeah, but did you get 'lucky' for taking her to a chick-flick? ;)

I feel your pain

My wife DVR'ed The Horse Whisperer the other day.
We never saw it before, and I thought it was going to be like Caesar Milan, 'The Dog Whisperer'
I guessed wrong.
It takes place in Montana, for the most part, so the scenery was great. Some acting good too.
The rest was long, slow, and painful.

I thought this one looked OK, so thanks for the heads up. I'm more interested in American Gangster...

That should be interesting, since it's loosely based on the life of a real criminal.

American Gangster

I'm posting this link so if anyone is interested in the real version as opposed to Hollywood's version they can read who the "real" Frank Lucas is. By the way, Denzel felt obliged to give Mr. Lucas a new Rolls after the movie wrapped filming, this was reported by IMDB.com and it appears under their listing of American Gangster trivia.
