Opinion On Musical Fidelty Pre-amps Please

I have a Musical Fidelity A3CR pre and am very happy with it. I have seen a A5cr for sale used and wonder how much better it really is. Does any one have any experience with this pre-amp. Thanks.

If I were you I'd post your Q on at AVS, both at the 2-ch and amp/processor sub-forums. I looked briefly for you, nothing on a3cr, but did find stuff on the a3, which I think must be different as an integrated(?)

No its not that... For that go to Audiokarma.

Seems like not many folks around here are into the 2 channel scene and half of them have probably never even heard of MF. You home theater folks are a whole different breed with your recievers and tv's and 7 speakers You just wouldnt understand!

I have four power cords that each cost over $70!
My 1.5m Straightwire Encore II sacd 5.1 analog cables cost over $200!
My speaker wire is as thick as your index finger!
I can say liquid midrange with a straight face!
How's that?!

I never said you where on the level.

So that must mean you upgraded the power cables all the way to the source of the power. You replaced all the romex cable, all the power lines, right?

Right you are. But the ears are only hdmi 1.1 and my helmet is 1.3.
Sheesh. If you want that old, tired technology, then fine.
And did you see the weight on those ears?
Light as a feather.
Now, I'm not one to judge gear solely on weight......
But one pundit here is very keen on using weight as a benchmark.
The helmet is much more solid.....and weighs a LOT more!
