Personally.......... owning the "thinnest" TV means absolutely nothing to me.

If someone builds a quality 1080p LCD/DLP with an 80" display with good picture quality for around $5k-$7K...........then I'm all ears. :D

Thin "TV"

Those screens used with front projectors are pretty thin. Some them can even retract when not in use.

Im right there with ya Buckeye.....

I bought my 50" panny plasma, knowing full well that I would be upgrading in the future after formats and prices started to come down....

I could easily be happy with a 70" but hey, if theres an 80" with 1080p Im all eyes.... :)

The good news is the prices keep dropping at an increasing pace.

Best Buy has a 73" 1080p Mitsubishi DLP on sale for only $3032!!

Buy the time I'm in the market again for a new TV....they'll be giving them away......HeHeHe In a few more years, it wouldn't surprise me if a few models in the 80"+ range start dropping into that price range.
