After playing the demo I decided to pick the game up and so far it does not disappoint. I am about 3 hours into the game and it is very fun. The addition of the sixaxis motion sensing into the controls make it a lot more enjoyable. This is so far IMO the best game I have played on the PS3 and it will hopefully keep getting better.

I will be picking this one up tonight. Can't wait. Would have picked it up at lunch, but had to work...

The game looks great to me too and I loved both parts of the demo, it was great that they gave us two worlds. My biggest problem with the game was with the six-axis controls. I felt them extremely repetitive, especially when you had to move the controller from left to right "bashing" the enemy into the ground. This is a game I will probably pick up when I have more time to play more often.

I liked the pop up function of Ellen, but the side to side motion I didn't really care for. It seems to be using the same engine as Genji: Days of the Blade, which I felt had some of the best graphics so far (game is OK, not great).

For whatever reason, nowhere around here has it...distribution issue I guess ???

Yeah I had to call 2 BB, 1 CC, 2 gamestops, and the target by my house and no one had it. I happened to go into the walmart by my house for the hell of it and they had a copy. There definitely seems to be a distribution issue.

I'm going to try to find it tonight...Fry's said they were scheduled to be in today. Maybe it had something to do with Monday being a semi-holiday?

Finally got a hold of it. Played for about 2hrs last night. Still every bit as fun as the demo. It seems to progress pretty quick once you get past the Prologe for both Ellen and Keats.

I am almost done with this one. The story is pretty interesting, though having to progress both charaters makes development move pretty slowly. Graphics are outstanding, though completing all of the "upgrades" can get a bit tedious and time consuming. The combat system is very good, however the difficulty of the actual combat isn't too high even for the bosses (so far). I should be finishing it this weekend.

It has some interesting features such as downloadable costume modifications (which don't seem to be availble yet), downloadable quests (in game!) and even user created dungeons that you can play online. I'm not sure if this one has lasting power, but it will at least have some replayability with what looks like constant add on capabilities.

I finally had time to sit down and finish this one. It rang up at 47hrs, but that includes side quests, the recent downloaded quests, and ~95% of all upgrades (100% with Ellen, 90% with Keats). I have to say I am a little let down with the ending. It didn't make a lot of sense and it was quite brief. No ranking, did not tell me how I did in the grand scheme of things and after a lot of build up and a great story, it didn't deliver a "big" ending; it sort of fizzled out quietly. The final boss was a surprise, though not entirely unexpected, but the battle wasn't as difficult as I would have expected - unlike Genji (the same engine that Folkelore used) where I literally spent hours trying to beat it and the battle itself was at least 45 min to an hour. This one took me 3 tries and maybe 20 min.

The downloaded quests are actually much more challenging that most of the ones in the game as they deviate from the game's "rules" in that the characters have modified abilities or significance to your quest like: beat the timer, absorbing one enemy extends time while another takes time away, or a particular enemy has takes 20 times more damage to defeat.

Replayability of the game itself? Looking pretty slim. Additional quests via download? Definitely. Is it worth $50? Yes, but you have to be interested in the genre.

That's cool that you got to finish the game. Mine has been sitting there ever since I got COD4 and UT3 and it will have even less playtime once I get Uncharted for christmas. One day I hope to finish it eventually, lol.

Well, I was so close to the end that I could taste it...so I had to do it. With Uncharted (haven't started), Assassin's Creed, Skate and Stranglehold going on, it was hard to find time to really do much. That's why I haven't even gotten around to picking up COD4 or UT3 (plus it is too close to xmas ;) ).
