I followed the guide exactly how they say to use avia and DVE from audioholics.

Now most of the movies i have watched so far since i calibrated it look really good and clear but there are certain scenes that have bright lights like yellow lights, red lights, green lights ,blue lights, etc and they seem really bright i mean to bright but its just the lights like on star wars the speeders are different colors of course and the yellows look good and so do the other colors but some of the lights in the movie seem to bright or they are being pushed tremendously.

Is this normal ? i have read most people cant watch perfectly calibrated movies or televisions until they get use to it. is this true? am i not use to it?

Thanks in advance.

Those test DVDs have filters in them, should be 3, red green and blue. With these you should be able to see if these colors are over driven or not. But, your TV need to have such adjustment capability to help.
This might help:

Sometimes you can push the white levels too far and think that you are setting them correctly. I woudl go back and check that portion of the calibration. Often there is a point at which the "Whiter than White" bar disappears and then comes back - if you pass that point you will overdrive your white and it may turn reddish or greenish in tone. Make sure your whites aren't anything other than white and that you don't push them too high.

When we speak of getting used to an ISF-calibrated display it generally refers to how "not" bright it is in comparison to the default settings.
