Hello,

I was wondering if anyone is using the Cambridge SoundWorks
Newton Series P300HD Powered Subwoofer.

Cnet.com gave it great reviews.

I recently purchased the Outlaw Audio LFM-1 Plus Subwoofer.

It sounds awesome but it vibrates a little too much. I have some neighbors and thus need to keep the vibrations down. I also have hard wood floors which I don't think helps.

I was thinking the cambridge subwoofer could fix the job and still produce a good base response.

Thanks for your feedback.

For $1,000? No.

It has six, 6.5" drivers. Those things are going to have to move a decent amount to get any sound out of them.

For $1,000, stick with SVS or something.

for a thousand bucks, I'd recommend either the Velodyne SPL-1000R or SPL-1200R

SVS SB-12 for $700.

The Cambridge subs are average at best.

I'd keep the Outlaw and consider options to minimize annoying the neighbors. There are acoustic products you can use under the sub, move it out of a corner, attenuate the sub's ouput, etc.

Rest assured you can keep your hard wood floors, at the frequencies the sub is playing at the choice of flooring (and floor covering) is basically moot... for room sound quality anyway.

My previous single 10" from SVS had nearly identical performance to this sub and is $429.
