As no one has yet posted a serious comment on this matter...I'll take a stab.
1) France's new President wants to be an ally of ours...that's a good thing, right?
2) The President went on to say the Iranian crisis "will only be resolved if firmness and dialogue go hand-in-hand." I believe he meant much by "firmness", without saying more. That is called diplomacy.
3) He then went on to say that it would be "unacceptable" for Iran to obtain nuclear weapons.
4) He then went further by elaborating on the US's role in this predicament and others...it is necessary.
How can some not understand diplomacy and the words of a diplomat?
I got your back John.
France; It’s a good country and has / is doing allot of things right these days IMO.
Examples: France generates allot of its power from Nuclear Energy and "other" energy means. The French are not "as" dependent on oil as the US. The French are very ambitious in their alternate energy programs. Much more so then the US.
The whole Iraq thing..... The French didn't jump on the US Saber rattling with the whole WMD's, Terrorists training grounds, etc. The US immediately trash talked the French, turns out the French where right.
Then the French Culture, Woman, Weather = I like France
